School Garden Manager Program
SUGA's flagship School Garden Manager program provides a professional organic gardener/farmer to seven local schools in an effort to support teachers in their efforts to expand curriculum-based hours spent in the garden. The School Garden Manager assists with maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as works directly with students to help them with planting, harvesting, nutrition education, and so much more!
The seven schools currently supported by the program are: Butler Elementary, Hodge Elementary, Otis Brock Elementary, Windsor Forest Elementary, Gould Elementary, Heard Elementary, and Charles Ellis K-8. We hope to eventually be able to offer programming to all schools that desire it!
